What To Expect At Metaverse Fashion Week?

Metaverse Fashion Week will be hosted solely on Decentraland (the community’s first-ever virtual world owned fully by its users).
MVFW will be accessible to the general public across the globe, on Mar 24th, with no ticket necessary. Fashion brands, executives, performers, designers, and celebrities will be able to purchase digital land to facilitate shows, exhibitions, concerts, after-parties, and more throughout the blockchain-backed Xperience.

While the event is free to attend, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase unique digital wearables from brands for their customizable avatar via an ETH wallet.

Several wearables will allow attendees to receive a physical component, allowing guests to purchase IRL products and designs from their favorite collections.

The Xpozd exhibition will take place in a dedicated 3D rendered art gallery showcasing the work of renowned photographer Josh Ryan as collectible photographic art NFTs (including native NFT exclusives) available for purchase as collections or individual pieces.

Attendees will also be treated to exclusive DJ performance by funkmaster icon Bootsy Collins as well as other guest DJ’s. Access to the event will be granted upon purchase of an exclusive Xpozd commemorative NFT ticket.

“I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. I was working in the Nightclub industry years ago which brought me to Los Angeles where I excelled through the ranks of the companies I was working for. After 7 years of very long nights I felt something was missing. I’ve always been a very creative and artistic person and was very much into art and design. I loved photography but knew nothing about it. So without any formal training or lessons I decided to buy a camera and experiment. Now years later I’ve created an extensive body of work that I’m very proud of as well as being a respected artist in the industry with a long list of accomplishments. I currently live in Hollywood, CA along with my 2 dogs. Besides photography I have a small obsession with Mid Century Modern Architecture and Furniture. I have an even larger obsession with Cars and Motorcycles. I love what I do, I’ll probably never retire.” Cheers – Josh
Josh started his career at Playboy Enterprises and shot countless commercial, fashion, and swim campaigns. Most notably he is currently shooting global campaigns and advertisements for GUESS Jeans.

  • NFTs or non-fungible tokens, are cryptographic assets on blockchain with unique identification codes and metadata that distinguish them from each other. NFTs are unique and not mutually interchangeable, which means no two NFTs are the same. NFTs can be a unique digital artwork, sneaker in a limited-run fashion line, in-game item, digital collectible etc.

  • Traditional works of art such as paintings are valuable because they are one of a kind. But digital files can be easily and endlessly duplicated.

    With NFTs, artwork can be “tokenised” to create a digital certificate of ownership that can be bought and sold. As with crypto-currency, a record of who owns what is stored on a shared ledger known as the blockchain.

    The records cannot be forged because the ledger is maintained by thousands of computers around the world. NFTs can also contain smart contracts that may give the artist, for example, a cut of any future sale of the token.

  • The value of an NFT comes from the property it represents, which is generally something that exists in the digital world like an original piece of art or digital memorabilia. The NFT itself doesn’t necessarily contain the digital property, but points to its location on the blockchain. Like a concert ticket or a deed to a physical property, an NFT reflects the value of the thing it represents.
